Official contract signing at the start of RETTmobil in Fulda
pei tel Communications GmbH and the elw-tec partner network, which belongs to abel&käufl Mobilfunkhandels GmbH, are now working even more closely together. This is provided for in a cooperation agreement concluded between the two parties. According to the agreement, pei tel will provide various established products manufactured in Germany, such as microphones, loudspeakers, intercom systems and the PTVoiceBox voice and data transmission module, for the LARDIS:ONE radio navigation system exclusively distributed by elw-tec. In this way, the solution for emergency vehicles can be expanded to include “telephony” and “WLAN” functions, for example. In addition, pei tel is now offering LARDIS:ONE in its online store at “store.peitel.com”.
“We are looking forward to the collaboration and see synergies arising from the expansion of the elw-tec network to optimize the overall LARDIS:ONE system. This applies to both technical and logistical aspects,” explains Peter Stroetmann, Managing Director of pei tel Communications GmbH. Franz Ketzer, Managing Director at abel&käufl, is also convinced of the benefits of the collaboration: “This cooperation is groundbreaking and unique in the industry. We expect a significant optimization of the portfolio and the supply channels for our affiliated elw-tec specialist trade partners and look forward to further expanding the sales figures for our LARDIS:ONE command and control system,” he explains.
The official signing of the contract took place shortly before the opening of this year's RETTmobil trade fair in Fulda. With this agreement, the two companies are further expanding a collaboration that began in the past. For several years now, elw-tec has been offering LARDIS:ONE with the PTCarPhone vehicle telephone from pei tel to its partner network. Now the radio navigation system can be supplemented with additional acoustic and accessory products tailored to the solution and is also available to pei tel's specialist retail channel for the first time. For pei tel, this offers the opportunity to further strengthen the vehicle communication sector: “Companies in the Peiker family have already successfully supplied the car manufacturer BMW with 4G modules for the Connected Drive System in the past. As part of this network, we are delighted to continue this tradition with this cooperation,” says pei tel Managing Director Peter Stroetmann.
