Competitions and interactive activities at the FLORIAN firefighting trade fair
Clear and reliable communication is particularly important during firefighting and rescue operations. In an emergency, coordination and the exchange of information can mean the difference between life and death. To highlight the importance of communication for fire departments and rescue services, pei tel Communications GmbH has now launched the “Communication saves lives” campaign. The company will present the campaign to the general public for the first time at the FLORIAN trade fair for firefighting, civil protection, and disaster control, which will take place in Dresden from October 9 to 11, 2025, in Hall 4, Booth B 6.
“As a manufacturer and distributor of professional communications technology, we see it as our responsibility not only to support fire departments and rescue services with suitable products and solutions, but also to raise awareness of the importance of smooth and reliable communication during operations,” says Christian Kramer, International Sales Manager at pei tel Communications GmbH. In addition to a website at www.peitel.com/krl, the campaign includes regular reports on social media as well as various competitions and interactive activities. For example, tickets to the FLORIAN trade fair are currently being raffled off weekly on Instagram until October 8.
In line with the “Communication saves lives” campaign, pei tel will be presenting products and solutions at FLORIAN that enable clear and reliable communication during operations. One highlight is the PTFireCom system for firefighting teams. It consists of helmet headsets for breathing apparatus, a PTT button, and mesh communication devices that operate in full-duplex mode. This ensures continuous communication between up to 16 people, even in smoke and poor visibility conditions where hand signals are no longer possible. pei tel is also presenting PTIntercom, a robust intercom system for use in vehicles, at the trade fair. Using a digital signal processor (DSP), the system enables interference-free and direct communication between up to four spatially separated vehicle areas. PTIntercom is flexibly expandable and suitable for indoor and outdoor use. pei tel's trade fair presentation will be rounded off by a wide range of other systems and solutions, such as charging cradles for handheld radios, the PTCarPhone LTE communication system, microphones, handsets, loudspeakers, and radios from Motorola Solutions. In addition, an emergency vehicle from the Kleinmachnow volunteer fire department will be on display at the booth to demonstrate the use of various products.
