pei tel Communications GmbH will be presenting its latest developments and innovations at PMRExpo 2024, setting new standards for critical communications.
The increasing demands on the critical communications industry are shaping this year's PMRExpo, which will take place in Cologne from November 26 to 28, 2024.
pei tel will showcase the PTFireCom communications solution, which was developed specifically for the requirements of firefighting crews during firefighting operations. Thanks to full-duplex communication, PTFireCom enables clear communication between breathing apparatus wearers for the first time without the need for hand signals or loud shouts. This significantly increases the safety and efficiency of operations. Visitors to PMRExpo can experience the solution in live demonstrations. “As a key player in the PMR industry, we support our partners with proven solutions, sound advice, and forward-looking technologies. In this way, we help to improve safety and efficiency and save lives in emergencies,” says Peter Stroetmann, Managing Director of pei tel Communications GmbH. In addition, Steven Hilgemann, PMR Category Manager at pei tel and Chairman of the new working group “Secure Emergency Communication in Crisis Situations” at the industry association PMeV, will speak about the challenges of modern emergency communication in the Connecting Area of the trade fair. “The challenges posed by flooding and natural disasters have shown us that emergency and crisis communication must function across sectors – between rescue services, municipal institutions, transport providers, and utility companies. Our solution sets new standards and enables seamless, uncomplicated communication between all parties involved. Because when every second counts, every connection counts,” explains Hilgemann.
At its booth, pei tel will also be showcasing Motorola's Orchestrate software. “In partnership with our video specialist, we will be explaining how this technology can be used to build on existing technologies with simple enhancements, combining these systems to offer you a whole new dimension in operational coordination,” explains pei tel Managing Director Peter Stroetmann. Through automatic analysis, Orchestrate reduces the workload on security personnel and improves responsiveness in critical situations. Together with video specialist erdkreis CCTV/IP-VIDEO GmbH, pei tel is implementing new radio and video projects in cooperation with specialist retailers. The company will also be presenting the further development of PTIntercom, the intercom system for special vehicles, at PMRExpo. The integration of a digital signal processor (DSP) ensures interference-free communication. The system is flexibly expandable and suitable for indoor and outdoor use by rescue services, fire departments, police, and transport companies.
Comprehensive portfolio and future-oriented approaches
pei tel's trade fair appearance will be rounded off by a wide range of other products, including its own microphones, handsets, loudspeakers, and audio accessories. In addition, the category managers will be presenting their new products and applications together with their respective managers and their associated teams. “The future of crisis and emergency communication lies in flexible applications that seamlessly connect different players in each scenario,” emphasizes Stroetmann. “As part of our ongoing internationalization, we are delighted to be the point of contact for our Dutch and Belgian customers for the first time this year. To this end, we have established a new company in Tilburg specifically to be very close to the local market,” says Stroetmann.
